Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials features impressive visual effects that enhance its thrilling post-apocalyptic landscape. Directed by Wes Ball, the film utilizes a blend of practical effects and CGI to create the vast, desolate environments and terrifying Crank creatures. The VFX team skillfully crafted intense action sequences, seamlessly integrating digital elements with live-action stunts to deliver a heart-pounding experience. Notable scenes, like the collapsing buildings and expansive sandstorms, showcase the meticulous attention to detail in visual storytelling. Overall, the visual effects play a crucial role in immersing the audience in the high-stakes world of the Scorch. Working alongside Weta Digital as part of the VFX team, we created something truly extraordinary at the Paint Department.

Story

The second chapter of the epic “Maze Runner” saga. Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) and his fellow Gladers face their greatest challenge yet: searching for clues about the mysterious and powerful organization known as WCKD. Their journey takes them to the Scorch, a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles. Teaming up with resistance fighters, the Gladers take on WCKD’s vastly superior forces and uncover its shocking plans for them all.
