Visual Effects

The BFG,” directed by Steven Spielberg, showcases stunning visual effects that bring the giant and the whimsical world of giants to life. Mark Rylance’s portrayal of the Big Friendly Giant relied heavily on motion capture technology, allowing for expressive and nuanced animation. The rich, fantastical landscapes and detailed character designs were meticulously crafted to evoke the enchanting tone of Roald Dahl’s story. Overall, the film’s visual effects play a crucial role in immersing audiences in a magical adventure. M11FX contributed with the Visual Effects Paint Department.

Story

Ten-year-old Sophie is in for the adventure of a lifetime when she meets the Big Friendly Giant. Naturally scared at first, the young girl soon realizes that the twenty-four-foot behemoth is actually quite gentle and charming. As their friendship grows, Sophie’s presence attracts the unwanted attention of Bloodbottler, Fleshlumpeater, and other giants. After travelling to London, Sophie and the BFG must convince Queen Elizabeth to help them get rid of all of the bad giants once and for all.
